The conference will uniquely combine plenary talks from top scientists and industrial leaders in the field with sessions comprising shorter talks and poster presentations while fostering a warm collaborative atmosphere with formal and informal interactions.

The Main Plenary Session will include the discussion of the general state and trends within the rare metal industry as well as the global demand for rare metal based materials and relative technologies. Plenary reports from keynote speakers will also mark each Oral Section. The conference will also feature Poster session that will be related to the all conference topics.

Instructions for speakers

Presentation lengths with Q&A included are 30 min for plenary reports and 15 min for contributed talks. For a smooth proceeding of the conference, we kindly request the speakers to keep within the allocated times.

Instructions for poster presenters

Poster size can be as large as A1, vertically oriented. Please check your poster number, which will indicate where your poster should be attached. You can put up your poster at your earliest convenience on the day of Poster section. The poster can be removed after the session. Material to attach the posters will be available at the registration desk. The best poster prizes will be awarded during the conference dinner.

The working languages of the conference are Russian and English.

Oral reports can be presented both in person and on-line (videoconference).

Oral presentations should be in MS PowerPoint or PDF format.

All participants are welcome to submit abstracts for publication in RAREMET Book of Abstracts (to be indexed by RSCI). Please use the MS Word template available at the RAREMET website and submit your abstract to the conference e-mail address.


The RAREMET organizing committee and Sazhin Giredmet JSC offer prizes for the best oral and poster reports among young scientists (up to 35 years old). Posters and oral presentations will be judged by members of Program Committee and Internation Advisory Committee. Consideration will be given to scientific rigour, contribution to the field, relevance to the conference theme and overall presentation quality.

Registration fees: 

  • Regular participants (speakers and non-presenting attendees) – 5000 RUB
  • Students and postgraduate students – 2000 RUB
  • International participants – free of charge

Registration packet for conference attendees includes:

  • Publication of submitted materials
  • Book of Abstracts (printed)
  • Conference program (printed)
  • Certificate of Participation (printed)
  • Notebook, pen, badge, etc.

The registration packet can be collected at the conference registration desk on-site. On-line participants will be provided with electronic versions of Book of Abstracts Conference program and Certificate of Participation.


The Conference opening ceremony and the first day program will run at ROSATOM Headquarter at 24 Bolshaya Ordynka St., 119017 Moscow For the next two days the conference will take place at Sazhin Giredmet JSC at 2, Elektrodnaya St., 111524 Moscow.
